ToxMod AI Moderation Will Be Available in COD: Modern Warfare 3

Call of Duty’s specialised anti-toxicity team is introducing ToxMod to reduce toxicity in the game. What is it, and how does it work? It is, as stated by Activation, an AI-powered voice chat moderating tool. Modulate created this, which is based on advanced machine learning technology. ToxMod will initially support English, with additional languages confirmed to be supported later. This new AI-based moderation programme will be fully released in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 later this year.

Is ToxMod Coming to COD: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2?

Yes, Activision is incorporating ToxMod into its existing games, including Call of Duty: MW2 and Call of Duty: Warzone, in the form of an initial beta deployment. The beta period began on August 30, 2023.

So, if you actively play COD multiplayer, ToxMod will provide you with greater matchmaking moderation. Because ToxMod gives all important context in relation to the report, player reports can now be addressed sooner than ever before.

Activision claims to have banned over 1 million nasty users since the release of Cod: MW2. Fortunately, 20% of gamers improved their behaviour following the initial limitation. Those who committed a second offence faced stiffer penalties. The developer maintains that their attempts to eliminate in-game toxicity are successful.

With the adoption of ToxMod, we hope to see better days in the Call of Duty online multiplayer community. Even Xbox recently debuted a new Strike system. With this new approach in place, Microsoft hopes to eliminate toxicity throughout the entire Xbox network.

It’s amazing to see game developers constantly incorporating fresh innovations to combat the problem of online toxicity. Toxic behaviour could be drastically reduced with new AI technology like ToxMod.
