In China, Tesla China has published a small upgrade to the Tesla Model Y crossover. The car got some small but easy-to-see tweaks inside and out. Giving Tesla China a good start to the fourth quarter.
Visual and Interior Upgrades
Tesla updated its Model Y configurator as the fourth quarter began in China. The base Model Y from Giga Shanghai now has a significantly faster 0-100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds, as displayed on the vehicle’s order website. Its base Gemini Wheels have also been coated black, making them more sleek and appealing.
Interior Improvements
A look inside reveals that the modified Giga Shanghai Model Y now has ambient lighting in the shape of an LED strip that spans the dashboard. The Model Y’s characteristic wood trim on the black interior dash has also been updated. Most crucially, the base Tesla Model Y price in China remains unchanged at RMB 263,900 which translate about ₹31 lakh.
Keeping the Model Y Competitive
A peek at the Model Y update that Tesla China recently provided reveals that the electric vehicle manufacturer intends to keep sales of its best-selling. All-electric crossover robust for the foreseeable future. With the introduction of the Model 3 Highland, the Model Y’s design has begun to appear a little dated.
